Field Trip

Incredibly late, but here it is! This was done for dinosaurish as part of the TMNT Secret Santa! Merry-Very-Late-Christmas Mira! My main goal was to finish something, since it's been so long X_X Most of my drawing-time over the last year has been devoted to quick sketches and Paper Tigers, so it's been almost a year since I've actually sat down to finish something O_O I also wanted to try to use color to help emphasize/symbolize where they were at this moment. Didn't really work like I wanted, but it was still fun. I miss coloring, but it's definitely time to work on shading again, ouch! Not entirely happy with it, but I've had the lines sitting around for months, so it got to the point where I just needed to finish it in one big go and let go of it xD

Her gift to me was This great fic. My gift is a scene from our rp, that actually happened 'off screen'. It won't show up in PT, but it is from the same storyline. The condensed backstory for this scene; bab Donnie experienced something traumatic, and he was clamming up bad about it. Sainw Mikey decided he had to do something to help, so he called around, gathered some tech-jobs at other bases, and took him on a roadrip. He wanted to get him out of the city, take his mind off things, give him a chance to reach out, etc. It didn't go entirely as planned, but the trip helped them both, in the end.

sRaph: "So did he tell you what happened?"
sMikey: "Nah. We mostly just talked about normal stuff. It was...it was actually really nice. He asked a lot of questions, and I told him what I could. We'd talk about the weather or bitch about the roads. He brought up floriography at one point and-"
sRaph: "The fuck is floorgraphy?"
sMikey: "You know, like, the language of flowers. How red roses stand for love, orange lillies mean hatred, and bluebells mean humility. Anyway, one night, he talked about the constellations and tried to teach me physics. It was really something. I mean, no one talks to each other like that anymore."
