'Nan desu ka' here means 'what is this'. I won't do that much, but I couldn't resist here. I love how 2012 Splinter will lapse into his native tongue when he's surprised! Raph, you were just glaring at sMikey, now you're giving him the nicest look. bMikey sure doesn't like the thought of losing an arm. Aw...Mikey! You're being so respectful. And jeez, wonder why Splinter is so upset?

Rrado rambles- First time drawing Splinter! I'm a bit proud of that for a first try. I'm not sure how true to 2012 I want to be with him, as I like the high nose bridges of 2k3 and the 07 movie. I'll figure it out. I'm liking the idea of coloring in the stuff that is very dark, gives a nice look I think. But then, I'm not sure what I'd do about Splinter's fur! I went ahead and gave him 4 fingers instead of 3; I kinda prefer the look and need to practice 'normal' hands a little more to help figure out the turtle hands. This project is showing me just how much of a painstaking perfectionist I can be. I see so many mistakes! Mistakes everywhere! But it's good for me to learn to accept those and move on to try again. Speed is key!

Note regarding personal situation, my grandpa is extremely ill. His health has been declining since last July, and he went into hospice within the last week or two. It doesn't look good. I have 3 updates worth of 'buffer', so when I need some time off, the updates shouldn't be affected. The next few months could eat through that, however, with helping my mom and grandma through this. So there may be a small hiatus in a few weeks. I'll do what I can to prevent that (art helps me through stress anyway), but if it's unavoidable, I'll make sure to let you guys know.
